Ubuntu integration into Active Directory

I was reading over the features to be included into Ubuntu 8.04 LTS which is coming out next month and they mentioned an interesting package called Likewise Open which allows Active Directory integration, all the way to the system login level – allowing one to log into a Linux box w/ their AD credentials and access AD resources. Previously, you had to log into a local account on the Linux box, and provide authentication seperately to access individual resources.
